Why
Context
More and more, ideas are treated as objective facts, as if they had no source. The personal side of understanding gets lost along the way. Most people hold strong views without knowing where they came from or who first had them.
The tools we think with don’t help much. Notes keep ideas but not where they came from. AI gives answers without asking what you already think.
Intent
Sangam is an attempt to show people how their own thinking was formed. Each idea is traced back to the people who first had it, and placed in time and on a map.
The intent is not to tell anyone what to think, but to make the subjective visible again. When people can see where their beliefs come from, they can question them and make them their own.
Role
Sangam is three layers, each feeding the next.
Sesh is a blank page for loose notes and questions. Episteme takes a rough idea and tests it through Socratic dialogue with an AI. It asks questions, pushes back and argues the other side until the idea holds up. Along the way, it ties the idea to the thinkers who worked on it before you.
Loka is a personal map of your intellectual ancestry. Your thinkers sit on a world map and a timeline that runs from 3000 BC to today. Each one has a card that changes colour the more you engage with their world and work, and it unlocks the thinkers who inspired them. Monthly limits on new figures keep you choosing carefully. It works like a trading card game for your own ideology. Autobiography, not Wikipedia.
System
Sangam follows an idea from a note to the people behind it.
A note in Sesh becomes a spark in Episteme. Once it has been argued and tested, it is linked to the thinkers behind it. Episteme tracks how closely you connect with each one, from a first encounter to real dialogue, and those thinkers are added to Loka.
Over time, Loka becomes a map of your ideology. It shows where your ideas came from, when they were first thought and how they connect. The system avoids handing people conclusions. It is there to help them reach their own.

Status
Sangam is a personal concept and still early. Episteme and Loka are built as working prototypes to test the core interactions, not to ship. Sesh hasn’t been built yet, and the three don’t share a visual language. The work shown here is the idea and its first experiments.
